I know Ap Lei Chau is a bit far but maybe these photos will entice you to come pay us a visit! Our beautifully designed patisserie (by Joyce Wang of Mica Design) features first a stunning dark wood cupcake counter where we sell our hundreds upon hundreds of our 15 different flavored cupcakes. The main cake counter is where we display all our French cakes and pastries. From our sift chocolate cake to vanilla mille feuille to our maple and mascarpone cheesecake! The top is lined with jars of our homemade marshmallows, cookies, quiches and lemon tart!
Come by for a cup of coffee and an AWESOME piece of cake !
We've been so busy in the kitchen sending out all sorts of afternoon tea and birthday cakes for our corporate clients I haven't had a chance to blog some of our fun customized cakes. Our white quilted chanel bag was so popular we just made another pink version (There'll be another version coming on later today with a louboutin stiletto to match! ). For this pink chanel bag we made our classic dark chocolate cake with valrhona 70% guanaja buttercream.
We also made this smashing 3d lightning mcqueen chocolate cake. All details including windshield wipers, wheels and lightning mcqueen's 95 number are all made of edible fondant decorations and all crafted by hand! The inside of lightning mcqueen is again our delicious dark chocolate cake with valrhona 70% guanaja buttercream.
For our customized cupcakes this week we made some customized soccer ball, alphabet and our signature baby shower decorations for a bunch of special events!

For two special birthdays this weekend we customized a bunch of cupcakes and cakes according to the Valentine's Day theme. We did Lili's 10 year old birthday with customized sugar decorations all with Lili's name, the number 10, and Xs and Os and the special decorations. We also did a huge red velvet heart shaped cake for Colomba's birthday. We covered the whole cake with pink fondant, lots of mini pink hearts and piped mini light pink hearts around the side as well!
We did these adorable Winnie the Pooh cupcakes for someone's special 5 year old birthday. All the Winnie the Pooh decorations were hand crafted with fondant and completely edible. If you want to customize you cupcakes as well just let us know what the theme is and we'll do our best to make you edible sugar decorations to decorate your party cupcakes!

For a specially themed sift chocolate cake, we made these edible fondant pandas to match! Each and every paw, ear, bamboo leaf etc was lovingly handcrafted out of different color fondants, pieced together and placed on top of a delicious Sift chocolate cake!
For a very special 80th birthday we made a delicious 3 tier red velvet cake to celebrate this special occasion. From the hand crafted fondant peaches (dusted with red luster dust), hand rolled cherry blossoms and leaves to the velvety red inside, everything to do with this stunningly delicious red velvet cake was designed to highlight all things auspicious.
It's been a crazy busy week at Sift given that Valentine's Day is approaching. We've been taking all sorts of local and overseas orders for cakes, cupcakes, cookies etc to be sent to loved ones all over Hong Kong! Here are some of the highlights of our delicious boxes of XOXO cupcakes and assorted pastries that some lucky individuals have been getting as a Valentine's Day gift!

There's a lot of Chanel fans out there and for those who'd like to purchase a more affordable and delicious version, come check out this beautiful Chanel white quilted bag, fresh off the runway and ready for some stylish fashionistas! We made our delicious red velvet cake (light valrhona cocoa cake, dyed a beautiful red and filled with cream cheese frosting). We then covered it with white fondant, dotted it with silver "rhinestones" and even made the signature Chanel chain and logo to match!
For the yearly Canadian International School CDNIS Ball, we made 60 delicious strawberry cupcakes (fresh strawberries pureed into the cake batter and the buttercream), topped them off with little silver sprinkles and packaged them individually in our signature party favor boxes. They're stunningly beautiful and the perfectly delicious little giveaway!

As we're preparing for the opening of our new patisserie on Queen's Road East, we've been busy in the kitchen coming up with brand new yummy items. This is our latest creation, a vanilla mille feuille. Each layer of home made puff pastry is baked to its golden, crispy, caramelized flakiness and layered with delicious, creamy madagascar bourbon vanilla pastry cream. Let them eat cake!
For my dear friend Denise's bachelorette party we did a whole bunch of delicious "Marie Antoinette" goodies. For each guest, we placed a delicious fresh strawberry cupcake with silver sprinkles and a customized fondant name plaque with each guest's name written in pink. The table was also decorated with a whole jar of our pink homemade vanilla marshmallows, our crispy on the outside, creamy and custardy on the inside croquembouche (decorated with fresh red rose petals)and finally our beautiful Ispahan (a rose buttercream, fresh raspberries and lychees macaroon, also decorated with fresh red rose petals). It was truly beautiful and fit for any Queen!
